What is J1772?
The North American standard AC connector for Level 1 and Level 2.
SAE J1772 (often just called J1772) is the five-pin AC connector used on most non-Tesla EVs in North America for Level 1 and Level 2 charging.
Many DC fast chargers also include a J1772 handle for AC-only charging at the same site, but the high-power DC session uses a different connector.
